Computational Models

As part of our project “Develop Side Impact Test Procedures for Improved Wheelchair Transportation Safety”, we developed computational models shown below that could be used to help design occupant protection systems for integrated wheelchair stations. Models are archived through the University of Michigan Data Archival service. Links to the models and documentation are below.

. We have models of the SWCB , a commercial manual wheelchair, and a commercial power wheelchair. We also have models of the wall, our heavy-duty UDIG anchor, surrogate 4-pt tiedowns, and commercial 4-pt tiedowns.
